Dollartful Daydreams - Easter

Well I'm having a bit of trouble getting the news out there regarding the Dollartful Daydreams challenge blog. If you are visiting the blog, please tell your arty friends and help spread the word. This month the theme is Easter, and this is my offering for the month.
Peter, the Easter bunny is mainly needle felted by hand, and his face is sculpted from an air dry clay. This was quite a challenge for me. I have dabbled in needle felting before, but I have never used a clay face with it . It was a challenge to work out how to do it, but I got there in the end. Needle felting is a very slow process and not something I choose to do often, but it's nice to have a play with it sometimes. His clothes are made from felt fabric, and his whiskers are flower stamens. I intended to cut the ends off the stamens, but kind of liked the quirkiness of leaving them on.

Here is a back view of Peter and a close up of his sweet little face.

Thanks for visiting!

Dollartful Daydreams - Getting to Know You

I am starting up a brand new challenge blog, because of my love of making art dolls. I hope lots of my old and new friends will pop along there and join in the fun. The first challenge is simple - it is just a getting to know you exercise.

This is Fae - she is made from air dry clay and stands approximately 7 inches or 18 cms tall. Her hair is made from Tibetan lamb fur.
